Join us in a celebration of the lifelong learning opportunities available through Aquinas College and our Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program!  

This year鈥檚 reimagined event will include a 鈥淐hat with an Expert鈥� cocktail hour, three quickfire fun fact presentations, team trivia, and more.

Most importantly, we honor Sheila Pantlind, David Faber, and the passionate staff of OLLI for their incredible efforts in education across West Michigan. We invite you to raise a toast to Sheila and Dave, as well as the 50th Anniversary of the OLLI program at Aquinas College.

Sheila Pantlind and the OLLI Staff, Norbert J. Hruby Emeritus Award Honorees

Representing 50 years of OLLI leaders, staff, and volunteers, former OLLI director Sheila Pantlind will be presented with the Norbert J. Hruby Emeritus Award in recognition of her career dedicated to educating learners of every age. Sheila spent over three decades as a teacher and administrator with East Grand Rapids Public Schools, and later served in various administrative capacities with Choice Schools Associates. Hired alongside retail executive Rick Steketee鈥攚ho served as co-director until 2013鈥擲heila spent fifteen years growing OLLI membership to record levels. She fostered a collaborative community reputation, facilitated a $2 million Osher endowment, led a dynamic staff, and navigated COVID with innovative virtual programming before retiring in March 2024.
