Ted Craig currently serves as Director of Athletic Bands at Aquinas College. Prior
to his appointment at Aquinas, Ted spent 15 years teaching middle and high school
band and orchestra. The last 11 of those years at Grand Rapids South Christian High
School where he was responsible for two concert bands and an orchestra. Also included
in his responsibilities were pep band, jazz band and marching band. After leaving
South Christian, Ted began his collegiate career at Grand Valley State University
as the Assistant Director of Athletic Bands. There, he assisted with the Laker Marching
Band as well as the Laker Pep Band. He also spent time directing the Grand Valley
State University Band.
Ted Craig received his Master of Music Ed. degree from the VanderCook College of Music
where he studied conducting under Dr. Charles Menghini. He received his Bachelor of
Music Ed. degree from Grand Valley State University.
Ted is married to Tanya Craig. They live in East Grand Rapids where they are very
active raising three boys.
